There are not enough words for how excited I am by this. When I lived in Newport in the early 2000s there was an old house on 101 that I used to dream about buying and turning into a bookstore/cafe. That dream still lives with me. I even know the name I would give it. Maybe someday. Until then, I’ll live through stories like it.

Uh, this sounds amazing! I cannot read to read this whether the love story is nice and tight or even if it is the bloated document you worry it is. Queer small town romance about bookstores sounds like the platonic ideal.
