Oh wow, this was extremely relatable! 😭Really appreciate you putting this part into words because, yes, having to pretend to still LOVE characters you now know many people didn’t like is something I was not prepared for at all.
I feel like a constantly broken record, but Anita, you always make me feel less alone in this writing world and so completely understood. I resonated with EVERYTHING you said about drafting—literally all of it, down to feeling like I have to write the cleanest draft that ever existed. I wish our brains were gentler on us.
